I got the Scottish version I sing from manuscript in the Greig Duncan Collection. It appears in Volume 8, no 1661. Collected 21st October 1907 from Mrs Gillespie, who got it from Jamieson, music teacher, Pitsligo. The tune is marked as Lillibolero, but is the verse of that tune only. I've changed the tune quite a bit.
