Re: bad men -- One worsening factor: it's a survival trait for low status men to always be prepared to break the rules; not so with women. The prisons are disproportionately filled with men for many good reasons.

1. If something is worth doing, it's worth doing wrong. More conservatively stated, that would be: Some things, you just can't get right the first time you try them, and depending on the consequences of not getting it exactly right, it's often worth trying them anyway; you can often learn from failures and partial successes are often very rewarding. Hmmm, that's still not exactly right, is it?
