It doesn't sell that much in the UK, despite the lovely BBC currently broadcasting a History of Folk Music series on Radio 2, along with the usual couple of hours a week. We've also had folk acts nominated for the 'prestigious' Mercury Music prize (this year Kate Rusby, in a previous year Norma Waterson almost won it). I suppose things will go in and out of fashion...perhaps we should just bide our time...
