Sadly John Smedley, founder of Travelling Folk, died of a heart attack yesterday. He had been unwell for some time and was awaiting a heart by pass, due in June. He will be missed by us at TTF and no doubt by those who enjoyed his sessions at Broadstairs Festival, where he could be found daily playing away in the Lord Nelson. Sympathy and kind thoughts go to his wife and family and to Dee. Do not stand at my grave and weep; I am not there, I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow. I am the diamond that glints on snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain. I am the gentle autumn rain. When you awaken in the mornings's hush I am the swift uplifting rush Of quiet birds in circled flight. I am the soft stars that shine at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry; I am not there, I did not die. I am not there; Thanks for your unwavering support and friendship. Liz
