John, I have read all of the above information and think I am capable of following your instructions for removal of .E My problem is that now when I run virus scan (Norton), the virus isn't found in the system 32 folder as it did before. Infact, virus scan doesn't show any virus. I am not naive enough to believe the .e is gone. I just don't know how to find and eliminate it now. Any thoughts? Diana
