For a good while I have wanted a second guitar. Yes my Martin is just fine, my banjo is great. I have wanted one to play blues, maybe some slide. A guitar that could take a scratch or two, shrug off spilled drinks and dingshangs. I looked for a long time.
Last week, I examined my expectations in this axe. It does not have to be a "Name" guitar. I don't care if it is made of pine slabs so long as it sounds good. I would love the old funky sounds we used to hear on the old Kays, Stellas, and Silvertones.
So I found it.
Washburn JN300s. No Frills. Plays very well. The sound is really great considering I only paid.$200. Is it too much to pay? I don't care. Is it too little? I think it is a buy.
Most of all, I like it. I can take it anywhere and don't have to treat it like a prima donna. I think I did all right. Jim
