I think I'm stickin' with the frictionless marine propeller shaft bearing for now. I've grown accustomed to it's properties. Besides, the nearest Sears to my locale is an hour away. That would make replacement of the faulty finish a challenge, with the price of fuel being at an all time high.

I continue to experiment with other alternatives and still like the way glass sounds on certain guitars. I've even considered developing my own slide concept.

If you can't find what works, make it. How hard can it be? I made the guitar.
