back to LTS's comment of phrases of songs heard when small, we had a family friend with the most beautiful bass voice (a real chapel-man he was!) and I remember two songs he used to sing me when I was small, but only a line from each one:

a: "grow little mushroom grow"

b: "And I was in it, fairly in it,
    I was in it, for it's just my luck"

does anyone know either of these songs?
