It can mean one buttock is slightly larger than the other. Subconsciously one adjusts by leaning slightly to one side or sitting on a slightly slanting chair and the clothing items imperceptibly shift. Over several hours this can be a few inches of travel. The metal thingy is most likely to do with diet. The elements in our bodies reacting to those without. Sorry to be such a kiljoy but.... actually i just made that all up....but who knows
