Roseanne was a pretty good show, used a lot of writers, and it helped. If you don't get Seinfeld, you don't, but the characterizations above are off. It wasn't about nothing, it was largely about unspoken social rules, and how people appoint themselves police officers of these coded situations. Aristotle noticed that comedy was about people who were worse than average. That was a long time ago. Friends generally sucks, although the line writing was pretty sharp. If you think you know these people really cared about each other maybe you take t.v. shows a little too seriously? It's basically a show about young pretty white people living in never never land. The funniest thing about it was Snoop Dog's SNL lament that it ended. That was funny.
