Just the other day I was thinking about another Sixties ditty of his-- "The 69th Street Bridge Song", with that unforgettably awful refrain:

Hello lamppost, whatcha knowin
I've come to watch your flowers GROWin
Aincha got no rhymes for me
Mumblety mumble, feelin GROOVY. . . .
