Thanks for the advice. One problem I also have is that I am not a singer, so I really do identify to a great extent on the interplay of instruments rather than to the the vocals in a song. That makes it a challenge for me because I think gospel music is inherently based more on vocals that most songs. I don't sing the songs I like. I don't even hum the words, usually. I DO hum the lead riffs in songs, or the bass notes.
