I agree that Richard Boone was very nearly typecast as the villain in most of his work. There was, however, a TV series (live, of course) in the mid-fifties that was a forerunner of today's medical drama genre. The show, "MEDIC," cast Boone as an idealistic young surgeon out to save the world from overconfident and arrogant older docs. Actually, it was somewhat ahead of its time, even if it did accurately portray the attitudes of the profession in that age. Also, I hear tell that Kevin Kline is about to play Cole Porter in a musical biography of the composer titled "De-Lovely."
