Twa verra satisfyin results: Nancy Bond's "A String in the Harp" (Welsh history/folklore, ISBN 0-689-80445-8) and Franny Billingsley's "The Folk Keeper" (Child Ballad-influenced, complete wi selkies & things that gae bump in the nicht, ISBN 0-689-82876-4). Ah suid alsae recommend the "Green Knowe" buiks by Lucy Boston, (English history & folklore) & onythin by Jane Yolen, especially her short-story collections sic as "The Moon Ribbon" & "The Girl Who Cried Flowers."
