Stompin' Tom Connors has a great LIVE version of the Parody on "Live at the Horseshoe" GREEN GREEN GRASS OF HOME The old home town looks upside down As I lay here on the ground There's the old freight train that I just fell off of Down the path I look and here comes Bessie Damn good cow, but sure is messy Thats why we got such green, green grass at home. The old outhouse, its still standing Though the catalogue's used and gone There's the old oak seat that I used to shhh-sit on Down that path I'd run and hope to make it There were times I had to fake it Thats why we got such green, green grass at home.
