L.Dave asked about A Chrestomathy. We have it and enjoy it. It is a greatest hits compilation (although it is missing quite a number of songs I would have included). Here now is the however: Since Dave has played in so many different kinds of genres, the juxtaposition of some of the songs can be ear-perturbing, and of all the ways to hear Dave Van Ronk, the way I prefer is just Dave and a guitar. If there was more of just that, I would enjoy the CD more. jhenderson
