Sessions are rather uncommon in France, even in so-called "Pubs", except in cities like Rouen (1 bar) or Le Havre (one or two bars). Just ask the bar owner and maybe the patrons. The river Vire has a towpath. Does this suit? It's probably the same for the river Mayenne. Hope this helps Bienvenue en Normandie Laurent
