On Saturday 11th September, as part of this year's Heritage Open Days weekend, Lancaster City Council will be staging a 'preview' of both next year's Maritime Festival and the wider SeaBritain 2005 promotion. The Maritime Museum will be open free of charge on that day and there will be performances of sea songs and shanties from Liverpool Packet (a new trio made up of three well-known names - Bernie Davis of Liverpool Forebitter, Keith Price & Brian Ferguson) and also from the superb Louis Killen. There is no charge either for the music sessions - space is limited and on a first-come, first served basis! Further information from 01524-582810.
