Sennockian, no, unfortunately I know very little about the song, except that it's a Newfoundland traditional. At least, I think it's a traditional. I tried to find some more info on Google, but the only thing I found was the proper spelling for "Tibbo": "Thibeau". But that won't help you singing it, right? :-) Maybe there are some catters from Newfoundland, they might be able to help you... T.
