I am Ian Pittaway, formerly Ian Harvey-Pittaway. I'm chuffed to read these nice things said about me. Three or four years ago I was on the way to considering going full time with the music. I didn't for a lot of reasons, which I won't go into here, but they included the precariousness both of not knowing if I would earn enough, partly due to my aptitude for picking up lots of bugs in the winter. I've now taken up the cittern, mandolin and lute (as well as my previous guitars) and am gigging infrequently. I am appearing soon at Rushwick village hall, Worcester, as a guest of Food and Folk, on 11 September. It would be lovely to see any of you there. Please introduce yourself to me if you go. For more details, call John Phillips of Food and Folk on 01905 640857. Cheers all!
