I may very well be shite, but at least I have the balls to post under my own name :) BFG, I wish you the very best for the future, and a speedy recovery. For the record, I don't think, even now, that Martin Carthy is in fact shite. He is still a superb guitarist, who can play me (and any other guitarist in the area) under the table any day. Just that his voice is nowhere near as good as it used to be, and I think this should be acknowledged more than it is; particularly in reviews etc. of his recent shows that I've read. Funnily enough, weelittledrummer, I don't think your comment ("the most copied, most influential singer/guitarist in England") is too far off the mark. I'm sorry if I offended any genuine folk music enthusiasts with my first post- wasn't my intention. I think it's still possible to admire a musician's work without being totally uncritical of their current performances.
