I am looking for the whole song as well. I know that the chorus is often sung in rounds at camps and in historical productions. About 10 years ago I heard someone sing the full song but have not been able to track him or the words down. He sang the chorus as "The river is flowing, flowing and flowing. The river is flowing down to the sea. Mother carry me, a child I'll always be. Mother carry me down to the sea." During the verses he sang of a man coming home from far away (taken away to fight a war I think). He was returning to his wife and family to find them dead. The song was very tragic. If you have any leads please let me know. Thanks Lynne
