My grandmother also sang this song to my mother, then my mother to us when we were children. My Granny died at age 93, my mother is now 76 and I am 50. Just this week my Mother, my aunt and I were having a three way phone conversation (singing) trying to remember all the words to this song between the three of us, and we all ended up crying, me because I can remember mama singing it and they, because they were remembering their mama singing it. I am so glad to have found the words, the version that I found is the exact one they sang, we couldn't remember the part that connected to Jim's five years and I'm only seven.
