GUEST,GROK BS: Proposed addition to Olympics: Hurling (35) RE: BS: Proposed addition to Olympics: Hurling 06 Sep 04

A player can run a maximum of four steps with the sliotar (ball) in his/her hand.
TRANSLATION: This rule needs no translation.

A player may take as many steps as he/she wishes while carrying the sliotar on the boss of the hurley.
TRANSLATION: Men and women play at this together and it involves free-style sex.

A player may take the sliotar into his/her hand up to two times while travelling in possesion.
TRANSLATION: Having determined that the game is about sex, this rule needs no translation either.

The sliotar may not be thrown; the correct hand-pass technique must be used.
TRANSLATION: This will come clear in time.

The sliotar may not be picked directly from the ground; the roll-lift or the jab-lift must be used.
TRANSLATION: For the sake of clarity, North Americans may use a fork-lift.

A player who is in possesion may not score with his/her hand.
TRANSLATION: No cheating.

If the sliotar is in flight, a player may score by striking the ball with his/her hand.
TRANSLATION: The player must be in flight while doing this, so the game involves airplanes or hot-air balloons.

Three defenders may stand on the goal-line when a penalty is being taken.
TRANSLATION: It is a union job.

A free-puc is awarded when a defender strikes the ball over his/her own endline.
TRANSLATION: None required.

Three points are equal to one goal.
TRANSLATION: See conversion internet sites for the scoring simplification manual. Look at a thread to do with metric/imperial.
