I've had some daft things said to me over the last eight years at Bridgnorth, but this year beat the lot. Sandra got out of bed at 1.30pm on Friday night to ask a gentleman in the beer tent to refrain from playing his drum, which, in fairness to him, he did. We are close to local housing and drumming in the middle of the night is not appreciated. The sound from most acoustic instruments doesn't carry and so we are happy to let people play all night, in the late night areas, if they wish. On saturday morning the gentleman in question sort me out to make a complaint. His complaint was that the festival was discriminating against drummers. My reply was, that I would happy to help him pack his tent. He strode off with a parting comment...."you'll hearing from my solicitors" I nearly fell over laughing. Me a drumist? Did anyone see Joji Hirota? Anyway I'm already looking forward to next year....Hope to see you all there....especially Bodhran players
