Somewhat off-topic but would like to know: A guitar friend of mine plays with a tenor-sax guy mostly using sheet music, fake books etc.. Since neither can transpose straight off, it usually means one or the other has to rewrite the music. My question: if computer programmes like Band in a Box can transpose a digital signal into any key, could a guitar played through a synthesiser be programmed to transpose as you play? Kind of high-tec capo?
