This is from a telephone "field recording" of John Frushour. He learned this in the early 1950's at Indiana University. Hanna, My Delta Gamma Hanna, my Delta Gamma, She's got a figure like a baby grand piana She's not so nifty, she weighs two fifity, But fat girls now and then are relished by the best of men. Oh Hanna, my Delta Gamma, I put my arms around as far as they will go, go, go, Oh, I don't care for pretty faces, All I want is Hanna's graces, Hanna my Delta Gamma! You can listen to a low quality public domain mp3 of the song here: http://tinyurl.com/5nhky (61KB) This song is very rare. I have only found one reference to on the net (See here: http://tinyurl.com/4okf3). I interviewed the window of the Paul Schifferli the author of that online book. She confirmed the tune and remembered some of the lyrics (Listen here: http://tinyurl.com/4ovof (57KB)). If you wish to use any of these mp3s on mudcat, I have made it public domain and John Frushour & Deborrah Schefferli have both agrred to the public domain issuance of these recordings.
