Images without links are neat to have descriptions of, but not necessary. In fact, my screen reader has a ficility to read the *linked* images, but turn identification of other decorative graphics off. That way I don't get lines and lines of something like "clear image dot dot gif" etc. ... which is downright screamingly frustrating! :) T
