Bill Richardson would be an outstanding choice for the Democrats. (I am being serious- no sarcasm intended) I think he would give the demoncrats a good chance of carrying the southwest which could tip the election. He is fairly solid-liberal but not too radical. Negatives are looks, charisma, and a small state that no one cares about. Would democrats select an Hispanic? I had some major disagreements with Richardson on energy policy when he was in charge. As the energy expert for my company I found a number of mistatements and misleading comments. On the whole however, I don't find him objectionable. If a democrat has to win, he is on my short list with Joe Liebeman, Zell Miller, and John Breaux. I think Richardson would have a far better chance than Hillary which is why I think Hillary will get the bid.
