I keep trying to post, and it always comes up blank after I hit send. Here's hoping. As the designer of the Santa Cruz Model H, I can say that my interest in this entire type of guitar came from the very 13-fret Nick Lucas that Bob Dylan played, though I knew that guitar for several years before my friend Marc Silber sold it to him in late 1963. It was fundamentally different than the SCGC in having a much shorter scale. It had been refinished, and the Guildesque bridge was a German catalog item of that era. The pickguard was also an add-on. If you'd like to know more about either the Dylan guitar or the SCGC Model H, visit my webpage on them at www.lutherie.net /model_h.html
