As a college student in the early '50's on spring vacation, spent a couple of weeks in Nassau. Recall seeing Blind Blake and Simonette at various outdoor events. Also, Delbon Johnson at "Dirty Dick's" which started up at 10:00 AM which went until the wee AM hours. Also recall (almost) "Cypress Brandy" which was schoolboy dirt cheap but left you with a monumental headache the next day. Years later (1988), got into a super conversation with the calpyso band leader at the British Colonial Hotel who brought me up to speed re the above artists. Neat, neat memories. Anyone know where I can find Blake's ALP-6 LP (have 3, 4 and 20 which I've put on CD's)? Mike in Houston (corkint@houston.rr.com).
