A friend of mine is looking for the music to a song with the above title which he saw in an old copy of "Ireland's Own" magazine. It had 10 verses, the first of which was:
Little Charlie Cassidy was just turned sixty-four
When his mother said to him one day "You're a grown boy now, a stór,
It's time you settled down" she said, "You're in the prime of life,
So off you go my brave young lad, and find yourself a wife"
All my usual sources have failed to come up with anything - I wonder if it might even have been just a recitation.
Would be grateful for any clues!
