Just prior to the hurricanes I stopped posting below the bar. Pretty much, I've stuck to that - only contributing to the hurricane threads (I live in Orlando, FL) and the Secret Santa threads, since I'm involved there.

It's a shame that so many new people post questions that wind up getting flippant or downright insulting responses. At this point, I've almost stopped checking out threads I think might be by newbies simply because the stupid attitudes of certain people around here.

I hope things get better around here, but Mudcat has turned into somewhat of an embarrassment in my mind. And I used to be one of the people who defended the Mudcat to members who said that.
