Okay, the guy at the register tells me $59.60 and in my head I'm thinking, that's too much, but I give him three twenties, in cash, and he hands me 40 cents and my receipt. I look at the receipt and see that he's charged me twice for one fifteen dollar item. I show him the receipt - I have not even moved my feet one inch, mind you - and point out the overcharge. Without saying a word, he starts punching numbers on his cash register, and then says to me, "I need to see your drivers license." I say, "What for?" He says "I can't refund your money unless I see an ID." I hand him my ID, he looks at it, and hands it back to me. All this is without looking at me, mind you. Then he hands me the money. It wasn't the sullenness which bothered me - it was having to provide identification. Pure and utter rubbish. I paid in cash, and never left the store. What the hell was the ID for? Absolutely infuriating.
