John Robinson (aka Cittern) Julie Ellison News for November/December (9) RE: Julie Ellison News for November/December 11 Dec 04

What a year … and what a fantastic way to finish the 2005 tours.

I am only just recovering from Julie's support to John Otway in Belper last night. I think forward rolls while playing guitar are a really great idea, but Julie doesn't seem so keen to copy the idea!

CD sales and mailing list sign ups at the Otway gig more than justified our commitment to taking Julie's particular brand of acoustic music to the widest possible audience. Progress this year has been better than we could have hoped for, and we both want to offer our heartfelt thanks to everyone who has supported Julie this year, either by attending one or more of her 75 performances, or helping to make her debut CD such an outstanding success.

Next year we hope that Julie will have over 100 performances in the UK. Festival appearances have already been booked at Broadstairs Folk Week and Reedham Ferry Folk Festival while the number of "In Concert" performances are significantly up on this time next year.

Bookings through to December 2005 can now be viewed at We are pushing into some new areas so we hope to see many new faces as well as meeting up with old friends.

Once again, very many thanks to all who played a part in a superb 2005. Here's to a fantastic Christmas and, let us all hope, a more peaceful and progressive New Year.

Best regards
John Robinson
Described by Ralph McTell as "a terrific guitar player who also writes great songs"
