Hi everyone. This is my first time posting a message to this group, and I hope these are appropriate questions. I am interested in people's definitions of what the blues is. For example, do you consider Eric Clapton a blues musician? What about bands such as the Jon Spenser Blues Explosion? What does it take for a song to be considered a blues song? Where do you draw the line between blues and other types of music? I appreciate any resonses. JB
