I'm thinning my collection various things including folk music books, CDs and other recordings. And I'm putting the items up on EBAY. My question is: Is it appropriate to let mucatters know what's there?

I ask because it is impossible to list items under all the possible categories to attract all possibly interested parties and I think some of the items will never be found unless you know they're there.

As an example, at the moment I'm auctioning a copy of the Fisk University Jubilee Singers 1872 songbook. I've got it listed under:

Collectibles > Cultures, Ethnicities > Black Americana > Other Black Americana

but it may be of interest to mudcat ethnomusicologists or collectors of black folk music or sacred music. Sometimes I find myself in the position of not wanting be an advertiser on Mudcat but want to let folks know that I've got some unique stuff that's available. How do I do that?
