I just bought a very nice older Gibson Acoustic on ebay, but the seller didn't disclose that the neck was all bowed-up. This gibson is pre-truss-rod days, and needs a necks set. Don't know anything about neck resets, costs or feasibility. This is a great vintage instrument otherwise with very few dings, the guitar is older than me, and looks great, I would love to keep it for myself if it can be repaired reasonably and reliably. Any help on how to proceed would be greatly appreciated, the action in the bass end is really fairly high above the 8th to 12th frets. Though the guitar is O.K. if you are a singer playing chords. Not at all feasible for flat-picking which is generally what I do. I am contacting the seller and ebay to resolve this, I would definitely like to still keep the instrument if I can get it up and functioning properly. Thanks! Dewey (the sucker)
