In a recent song session someone sang the song "Flash Company" and a discussion arose as to the significance of the "yellow" handkerchief. There are other references to yellow as well eg Shakespeare's Malvolio and his "Yellow cross garters". We thought that the colour yellow could signify availability but perhaps someone out there knows the real significance, if any. Viv
