A good folkie friend stayed with me for a few days...turned out to be the best NYE I've had in a long time. We played music (he's a dulcimer player/singer), took a beautiful drive between rain showers, came back home to make more music, then went to town on a b'day bash run...pizza, beer, brandy for later, choc. cake and ice cream, none of which have I had for years. We watched one of my favorite movies, Hearts of the West, then went right back to music and played in the new year. Some neighbors dropped by for a while and we got them to join in singing. Doesn't get much better than that.
