Dreaded Thumbpick Rock Creek - Yonder Come Day (29) Rock Creek - Yonder Come Day 04 Jan 05

I'm making CDs to order of Rock Creek's 1984 cassette "Yonder Come Day" available to members of the mudcat for $9.00 including s&h in the U.S. and $11.00 outside the States. If you'd like a copy, please send me a personal message.
--------------------------------------
Rock Creek (Tom McHenry, Bill Destler and Wally Macnow) was primarily an a capella trio that sang American roots music at festivals, clubs and halls between 1977 and 1986. This recording was made in 1984 at Gypsy Studios in Falls Church, Virginia. It was issued on cassette in a limited edition and quickly sold out. With the exception of a few songs contributed to Folk Legacy's "A Golden Ring of Gospel Music", it is Rock Creek's only released work.

The CDs are being cut as ordered and will be shipped in jewel cases. There is nothing fancy about the labeling. The music includes shanties; gospel, roustabout, and nonsense songs and a couple of rounds. They are as much to be sung as to be listened to.

1. Rolling Down To Old Maui;      9. Rolling and Flowing
2. Poor Little Jesus             10. New Year's Round
3. 10,000 Miles Away             11. I Don't Intend To Die In
4. Crazy Gibberish                         Egypt Land
5. Judgment                      12. Take Me Out To The Ball Game
6. Chesapeake Gold               13. Yonder Come Day
7. John Cherokee                14. All I Do, The Church
8. This Song Of Love                  Keep A-Grumbling
