Ooo, shame on you John! 'The Demon Barbers were brilliant and (sorry Duncan) edged ahead of the Dunc. McFarlane band in the "who can make traddy stuff exciting for me to listen to" stakes.' Are you suggesting there can be only 'one' (Highlander style!) Edged ahead? Gosh - is it a competition? Surely you should be celebrating and shouting from the highest that there are now TWO folk-rock outfits that you've seen recently that can 'do it' for you? I hope you don't run into any other excellent female guitarist/singers! Who will fight Julie's cause then? (Only joking John!) And only today I've been staunchly defending the Demons over a review of the same concert you were at - you better take a look at leedsmusicscene.net John. I had to pitch in as the reviewer was a tad out of kilter. Let me know when you've seen it - perhaps you might wish to contribute too. The review is of John Gomm...but.... Hugs to you and Julie - D
