Yes, but a pedantic point: the spelling should be "whisky" with no E. The American (and I think the Irish) stuff is "whiskey", but the REAL stuff is "whisky". --The tune "The Glendaruel Highlanders" , by Pipe Major A. Fettes, is in several books, e.g. The Scots Guards Standard Settings, p. 88 (no, 189). Andy Stewart made quite an industry of taking popular pipe tunes and fitting folksy words to them. |
