Pelrad What animal best describes you? (69* d) RE: What animal best describes you? 20 Nov 99

I am a jenday conure in all but voice.

What animal or bird has always fascinated you? Birds, owls, cats of any size, bears, whales, octopuses.

When you visit the zoo, which animal do you wish to see the most or first? Primates, especially gibbons and orangs. Then elephants, bears, and birds.

What animals do you see most frequently when you are out in nature? Not fair; I live in a place where the majority of wildlife has been mercilessly wiped out. The only black bear to wander across state lines in 30 years was shot on sight by the Dept of Environmental Mgt. Mostly I see housecats and rabbits and crows. Hundreds of crows everywhere I go.

Of all the animals in the world, which are you most interested in now? Human toddlers; fascinating and frightening at the same time, especially when they are your own. Other than that, birds and whales.

What animal most frightens you? Groupers. They terrify me. As do any humongous fish in the sea that can accidentally swallow an entire human being because they are so freaking huge. Oh, and lizards; too fast and wiggly (not including baby iguanas).

Have you ever been bitten or attacked by an animal? Only dogs, back when I was young and stupid enough to interpret hostility as overtures of friendship.

Do you have dreams with animals in them or are there animal dreams you have never forgotten? The only animal I dream about is my little Jekyll-bird, my heart and soul, whom I had to give away while I was pregnant (my jenday conure who hates children with a passion bordering on murderous rage). At least once a week I dream that I find her somewhere, abused and neglected and dying. :-(
