Jesus was not a Nazir, that group of monks such as Sampson. He was Jesus of Nazareth, his hometown, which in Hebrew comes out as Natzrat. Nazir is spelled differently and has a z sound. People were generally known by their father, occuptaion, or if venturing further afield, their place of residence. Hope this clears up any confusion with Nazir/Nazarene.
