What a shame to lose an instrument, all of us Morris musicians are very guilty of doing similar. We often just leave our instruments in a 'safe corner'. I presume he's reported it to the police. Might also be worth alerting local 2nd hand shops as well as music shops to be on the lookout for it, but presumably he's done all that. Good luck to him, hope he finds it.
