hi Dave a 'Josher' was a design of boat made for and by the canal carrying company Fellows Morton and Clayton and the boatmen named it after Joshua Fellows one of the owners. a 'Josher' has very fine lines and distinctive bow with a double bend. Some of the modern builders make a very good job of replicating the design.
Thanks for all the advice hope to get to Cropredy on the Monday of the festival to make sure of a good spot.
