I agree. He was really a lovely person, too. Although many people in the business made other experiences as I know, I was lucky to have some chats with him during the four years of our "telephone friendship" ( from early 1999 until 2002 ) and it was wonderful. Of course, after I heard from his wife Sharon about his death, I regret not to have used his offer "call me when ever you want, but please not in the morning" more often. Well, that´s too late now, but a reason why we have worked on musical tributes for him since early 2003 ( first result is the german-british CD "Remembering Lonnie Donegan" with his eldest son Tony, his old mate Dickie Bishop and many others ) and why I also promote his posthum-release "This Yere De Story" in Germany for a few month.
