Here's some suggestions for what Flash Company posted above, which I previously PM'ed:

Tune: "Steamboat Bill"

Tugboat Bill-2

Down Tombigbee River came the Whip-poor-will,
Steered by the pilot, Mr. Tugboat Bill,
Towing lots of barges to a downriver dock
But at the Rooster Bridge he got a a shock.

Chorus:

Tugboat Bill, rollling down the river,
Tugboat Bill, hadn't any fear,
Tugboat Bill, rollling down the river
Landed in a mess that was really queer!

Tugboat blew his hooter as the bridge drew near,
Bill told the mate, "What?s going on here?
That bridge ain't moving and the river?s up high
If we can't stop, then ,boy, we gonna die!" CHO

Bill slipped the barges and shifted hard astern,
But he slammed into the bridge as the tug began to turn,
The force of the river meant he couldn't turn around,
Rolled him over sideways and the ship's cat drowned. CHO

Looked like he'd sink with the keel in the air,
But the engine was still running, Tugboat didn't care;
As he came up the other side he swung back into the flow,
How he got it righted no one will ever know. CHO

Water poured out as he limped to the shore,
Got the bilge pumps a-working like never before,
Health and Safety Officers moved in for the kill,
But they very soon discovered that you can't sink Bill!

Last chorus:

Tugboat Bill, still out on the river,
Tugboat Bill, better than a play,
Tugboat Bill, still out on the river,
Underwater records broken every day!

Cheerily,
Charley Noble
