I would guess I spy is known in the UK considering lack of questioning posts from UK mudcatters, as well as people from the UK responding to this thread. We always said "I spy with my little eye something that starts with..." I've always wondered which one is my little eye. I have found a lot of variation in games and their names here though. There's a cardgame, called Happy Families I think or something like that, that is similar to but totally unlike Go Fish. There were a couple more obscure card games that I discovered under totally different names with slightly different rules. They call tic tac toe naughts and crosses, which actually makes more sense then tic tac toe as soon as you realize that naught means zero (which was easy to infer, knowing naught means nothing, the first tiem I heard someone say "naught point five") I wonder what other games US has and UK doesn't or vice versa or different versions. Sorry for the drift.
